do you know what kind or type of proof does a credit Collection Agency have to show to validate a debt? First, they have to show proof of the debt, they can obtain the proof from that company. You can also by pass the collection agency and make your arguement with them. They should be able to provide an account number and other information pertaining to the debt. If they cant they I would report them to whatever governing agency applies. If they do produce account numbers etc then check your own records to see if this is a real debt if so pay it, You might even call the company you are registered yourself and ask about it. You have a legal right to ask these questions and the collection has to give it to you.
